Join us for the first ever Market Dance in the Wooden Room of the Market with the Conqueroots.   We have an awesome venue, an awesome band ...a great wooden floor, a Market Bar and delicious Market Food from our Vendors. 

All we need is your feet and your groove! 

THE CONQUEROOTS are a newly formed funk and blues band that
invites you to get your mojo working and DANCE!  
Caleb Miles
plays guitar and sings, drawing from a deep well of guitar
styles and an encyclopedic list of off-the-beaten-track cuts. 
Geoff Arsenault lays down the groove with organic, New
Orleans-flavoured drumming dripping hot soul sauce.  On bass,
Nic D’Amato pulls the juicy meat right off the bone, while Jeff
Hennessy sets fire to the piano and organ like he was born in
Tipitina’s.

THE CONQUEROOTS are named after the John The Conqueror root used
in mojo bags and charms of the Deep South.  It is said to bring
good luck in love and gambling.  THE CONQUEROOTS do not aim to
replicate the blues.  We aim to conjure the Positive Spirit
through rhythm, groove, and dance!

Pricing: You can get your tickets at Box of Delights Bookshop, during the Market any Saturday or Wednesday ($12 in advance) or at the Door for $15.
