Talk Life Community Presents: Get out of your mind with Nicole Druken
Have you considered starting your own meditation practice but just don’t know where to start?
Nicole Druken will give a practical introduction to meditation starting with a discussion of the what, why and how. You will learn what meditation is (and is not), the benefits of building a meditation practice and what to expect when you first start out. The last half of the session will be a gentle yoga class, with built in meditation time.
The class is suitable for students of all levels, beginner to practiced yogis. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat. Feel free to bring a bagged lunch with you. Drinks will be provided.
To reserve a spot, please email, talklifecommunity@gmail.com or call Laura, 902-678-1562, or Lia, 902-680-5331.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Nicole Druken is an experienced adult educator and yoga teacher. Nicole feels it is important to include the philosophy of yoga in her classes and often offers students practical ways to incorporate what you learn on your mat into daily life. Passionate about meditation, every one of Nicole’s classes includes some time to be still and silent.
Talk Life Community is a roaming talk café for women (although men are not excluded!).
TLC was created by three friends and focuses on the joys and challenges women of all ages, experience. Our goal is to share stories from those who have been there, done that. With so many creative, courageous, intelligent and accomplished women in the Valley, we believe you will leave a TLC event feeling better then you arrived.
Nicole will be donating her speaking fee to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
