Annapolis Valley Mayors, Wardens, Chiefs, economic planners, and business leaders will see a number of first-ever programs to create “Smart Communities” in a meeting on the morning of August 25th in Berwick. A session starting at Noon is open to all those with an interest in the future of the Smart Annapolis Valley. A number of Smart Community “firsts” will be unveiled, including a new Internet speed test where the Valley is the only rural community in Canada selected for the pilot. Guest speaker is Dan Mathieson, Mayor of Stratford, ON - also a rural community - with lessons for us on how to rise up using Smart Community programs.
