Our federal government has announced plans to legalize cannabis in the spring of 2017 and evidence tells us that cannabis use can result in injury. Our organization supports a process of legalization that safe-guards our children and minimizes risks to all Nova Scotians. This information session will be led by Todd Leader. Todd is a registered psychologist and social worker who teaches at Saint Mary’s University, and is a consultant in mental health, addictions, and public policy. He is an author, an award-winning change-leader and educator, the current President-Elect of the Association of Psychologists of NS, and was recently appointed to the NS Ministerial Advisory Panel on Innovation in Mental Health and Addictions. He has over 25 years of experience in studying, teaching, and advocating for healthy public policy in the area of substance use.
