Scleroderma Information Session
Saturday October 1, 2016  2pm - 4pm (2 Hours)
Lecture / Seminar Meeting / Club Health / Wellness

 info@sclerodermanovascotia.ca

Scleroderma is a chronic autoimmune disease, also known as “hard skin”, in which the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues, and may lead to serious damage of internal organs. The disease, which affects a limited number of patients in Nova Scotia, is life altering and potentially life threatening. The disease is more predominant among women aged 30 to 50 and to date there is no cure.

The mission of our Society is to provide support to those living with Scleroderma and to increase awareness of the disease. Given that Scleroderma affects so few people, it's been noted that there is very little knowledge regarding the disease or how it impacts those living with it. We will be hosting an information session to provide education as well as to share patient experiences. This session will also seek feedback on how we can better serve the needs of patients and their loved one's.

Registration is not required and everyone is welcome to join us.
