The Space Paddy Bog People: They Come In Peace
Denise Aspinall, Cathy Coates, Alister Thomson and Aran Silmeryn are four friends with a whimsical band name and a shared love for voyaging across the vast cosmos of traditional Celtic music. With fiddle, flute, mandolin, guitar and just a touch of rocket fuel, they are joining together with Halifax contra caller Kat Kitching for your set-dancing pleasure!
No experience? No partner? No problem. We will teach you the simple steps, with a brief introduction, starting at 7:30. Bring a water bottle and comfortable footwear and plan to have a great time!
Directions: The Black River Hall is at 989 Deep Hollow Road, a 10-minute drive from downtown Wolfville. From Hwy 1 (Commercial Street, New Minas) turn on to Deep Hollow Road (west of the Greenwich Firehall and near the Edible Art Cafe). Follow Deep Hollow Rd about 8km up the hill where you come to a T-junction and you are there.
