Doors open at 7pm
Join us for the December meeting with this month’s speaker, local author David Mossman. David will provide a reading and discussion from his newest book Oceans of Rum. David share the history of rum-running in Atlantic Canada and bring it alive through his uncle’s actual experiences.
The Newcomers’ Club welcomes all residents of the Annapolis Valley. You don’t have to be a newcomer to come to the meetings or to join the group: long-time residents are welcome too! Bring your favourite small coffee cup and enjoy fresh perked coffee and a sweet treat.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month in the Wolfville Farmers’ Market Building, and are open to the public. They feature informative speakers on topics of local interest. Members can participate in the many interest groups, from biking to gourmet cooking and theatre-going. This is a great place to meet new people, learn about the area, and forge a sense of community.
