Wind Band Explosion! 3 Bands, 1 Stage!
Come and listen to the Acadia Youth Band (Paul Hutten, conductor), the Acadia University Symphonic Band (Ardith Hayley and Tristan De Borba, conductors), and The Acadia University Wind Ensemble (Mark Hopkins, conductor) performing mostly Canadian Wind works on the Festival Theatre stage.
Don’t miss Sunan Dances by SOCAN Foundation Composer-in-Residence Dorothy Chang, and the Canadian Premiere of Faustus: A SaxOpera by John Plant, featuring saxophone virtuoso and Acadia faculty Tristan De Borba, Saxophone Soloist.
BOTH COMPOSERS WILL BE PRESENT FOR THE PERFORMANCE. Admission is by freewill donation.
