National Day of Action on Electoral Reform

Saturday February 11, 2017  3pm - 4pm (1 Hour)
Community Event All Ages

In the 2015 federal election Justin Trudeau and the Liberals promised that it would be the last "unfair" election with the First-Past-the-Post electoral system. He has now reneged on that promise and we are extremely disappointed and frustrated.

We now need to show the Liberals and our local MP Scott Brison how much electoral reform matters to us! Please join us Saturday afternoon to sign our petition and walk throughout Wolfville to end up in front of Scott Brison's office. (MORE DETAILS TO COME SOON - stay tuned! https://www.facebook.com/events/1398537953513313/)

It is time to make every vote count! We will not stand for broken promises! Last April, Trudeau said "I believe fundamentally that we can do better.... We can have an electoral system that does a better job of reflecting the concerns, the voices of Canadians from coast to coast to coast, and give us a better level of governance." Indeed we can, Mr, Trudeau, and numerous polls, surveys and consultations have shown that a majority of Canadians want a different, better system. It is time for our voices to be heard that we still want change, and that we won't give up after the government's announcement.

You can also send letters to Justin Trudeau or call your MP. Be vocal and engaged. It is time for a fairer system and the Liberals must be held to account.
