Michelle Green is widely recognized as one of Canada’s leading farmers’ market experts. She is the lead facilitator and program developer for the incredibly successful farmers’ market vendor and management training programs offered since 2011 by Farmers’ Markets of Nova Scotia, in her position as their Director of Training. She is a former award-winning farmers’ market manager, was an 18-year veteran farmers’ market vendor, sat on the founding board of Farmers’ Markets Canada, is a former president of Seeds of Diversity Canada, and now teaches and trains across Canada and the United States at workshops, conferences, and events. Michelle is the lead trainer for the British Columbia Farmers’ Market Management Certificate Program offered by BCAFM, and delivers farmers’ market board governance workshops across Canada. She has a background in adult education and is a trained workplace education consultant. Michelle has a Master’s Degree from York University and runs a farmers’ market vendor training program on-line through her consulting company, Whole Green Heart.com.
