A fun-filled day of education and entertainment for seniors hosted by Len Hawley of AVR. Horton High School Students have worked with police, fire fighters and paramedics to develop safety skits for seniors on medical, fire and police emergencies. After the skits there will be a mini safety expo with booths on all kinds of safety related topics highlighting home security products, home health aides, crime prevention programs, the Vial of Life and many, many more. After browsing displays a free lunch will be offered, then back to the theatre for a presentation by Halifax Rotary Club’s ABCs of Fraud. The day will wrap up with a Question and Answer session providing seniors with the opportuntiy to ask questions of the Paramedics, Police Officers and Fire Fighters on hand that day. This is a completely free event, we just ask that you give us a call at the Wolfville RCMP Detachment (ask for Michelle or Bev) to let us know that you are coming to ensure there is enough food for everyone.
Please note, if the winter weather does not cooperate with us, we have a storm date of January 21st.
