Outside the Box Support Group for Families of Adults with Disabilities in the Annapolis Valley and the Nova Scotia Association of Community Living are excited to be hosting a public meeting. It is clear that families are very worried about where their adult children will live when they can no longer care for them and how inclusion in their communities will be facilitated.
Dr. Michael Kendrick, Nova Scotia born, International Human Services Consultant and author of the Kendrick Report will speak at this meeting about what families can hope for here in Nova Scotia and how they can effectively assist in implementing a better future for their sons and daughters in light of the recommendations of this report which is yet to be endorsed by the Nova Scotia Government. Michael will also speak on the Roadmap of 2013 and answer questions from the floor.
***Please bring a “toonie” or a “loonie” to help pay for the use of the hall***
