“The O’Brien Family, have been entertaining as a family band for over 10 years in Victoria B.C. The O’Brien family consists of Paul (father) vocals, guitar, mandolin, percussion, Millie (24)vocals and tambourine, Cormac (21) vocals and bass, and Fintan (20) vocals and guitar. The band has performed every summer in Victoria, and have become an integral part of many families summer traditions, and what started as a summer project to raise money for a lap top computer, became an annual event, with performances at the Islands Folk Festival and Vancouver Island MusicFest. With a combination of original songs by Paul and Fintan, and well loved covers, the family delights audiences, with their unique family harmonies, and on stage banter. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the family play at Dawn Omans Gallery, 298 Granville Street, Bridgetown, on December 22nd (doors open at 7 p.m) when they will be raising money (donation at the door) for the Bridgetown Area Food Bank and The Paradise Refugee Fund. As the family have grown and are off following their individual career paths, this may be one of the only times the family will perform here in N.S, don’t miss out on what will be a wonderful evening."
