Our composer-in-residence, Ana Sokolovic, presents a one-hour talk about her music and compositional process as part of the 10th Acadia New Music Festival.
Ana Sokolovic is a Montreal-based composer of Serbian origin whose contemporary pieces have won several awards in Canada. Her music has been performed at London’s Royal Opera House and Montreal’s Conservatory of Music. Sokolovic is the first woman composer to create an operatic work for the Canadian Opera Company. Sokolovic was also a nominee for the Juno Awards of 2017.
