Harvey Marcotte and Duncan J.Draper are a multi instrumental duo combining traditional acoustic instruments to perform their take on Acadien, Celtic, Appalachian, swing and bluegrass tunes that they like, as well as original material.
Harvey Marcotte is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Bear River who grew up in a French community in Rhode Island and influenced by his parents, took up music at an early age. He went from playing in local folk ensembles to touring with the world famous Acadian band Blou before embarking on a solo career. He is an impressive guitar, fiddle and mandolin player, accomplished in both traditional and modern folk styles.
Originally from New England, Duncan J. Draper has been making music in Northern California for over 25 years before moving to Annapolis Royal. He has been an accompanist for modern dance companies and schools in the SF bay area. Piano, percussion and marimba, acoustic bass, accordion and Brazilian rhythms are prominent in his work and he has performed extensively and recorded with numerous SF Bay ensembles in many capacities.
