Learn the basics of embroidery with Alex Mann, Uncommon Common Art's 2018 artist in residence.

During this free workshop you will learn a few beginner's embroidery stitches while completing a pattern designed specifically for the workshop featuring one of Nova Scotia's Species at Risk, Rockrose (Crocanthemum canadense.)

Meet Acadia Professor Dr. Rodger Evans and learn about his current research on this unique endangered plant. Take a behind the scenes tour of the Herbarium.

No embroidery experience necessary.
