Presented by Avon River Arts (formerly the Hants County Arts Council), Artisans in Action is a series of pop-up shows and demonstrations showcasing Nova Scotian artists and artisans.

Our event will be devoted to those who work with wood and stone, featuring stone carver Jan Hull, wood turner Stuart L. Taylor, sculptor Cheryl Hassen and the Executive Director from the Federation of Nova Scotian Woodlot Owners, Stacie Carrol.

This event is held rain or shine and is free to the public.

We are currently accepting artists for all of our 2018 Artisan in Action events. As always, artists and artisans are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and we accept up to 3 artists for each medium at each event (excluding Paint Avondale, which is open to as many artist as we can comfortably accommodate along the historic Newport Landing waterfront). Tables and chairs are provided and we have a number of canopy tents should you want to set-up outdoors.
