CentreStage presents: The Mouse that Roared
When Gloriana XII of the Duchy of Grand Fenwick faces national bankruptcy, what else is there to do but declare war on the most powerful nation of the world? What is worse, what happens when they win? The Mouse that Roared is a hilarious story of longbows and arrows, Q-bombs, and mad professors who accidentally set the world on edge. With aristocrats against the proletariat, professors enduring rioting students, presidents meeting princesses, and a love story thrown in, you can be sure it will keep audiences rolling with laughter. You are invited to witness the political fall-out and rejoice with their unexpected results!
The Mouse that Roared, a comedy adapted by Christopher Sergel, is a comedy suitable for youth aged 12 and up. Although the play is not inappropriate for younger audiences, it may be of more interest to those with some understanding of government.
The Mouse that Roared is directed by Roger Prentice. It stars Margot Bishop, Gary Corbin, Brian Cottam, Glen Cottam, Rebecca Crouse, Darrell Doucette, Christine Enserink, David Gibson, Aaron Haggerty, LeRoy Heffernan, Mike Holland, Linda Kearley, Keegan Martin, Chloe Moore, Emily Oickle, Kelvin Ogilvie, Wendy Purkis, Wendy Robinson, Janet Westhaver and Nick Wojtas. Kelly Westhaver and Ellis Brian-Clayton are on lights, David Gibson and Mike Bond are stage crew and Tim Hawkins is the stage manager.
The Mouse that Roared opens on Thursday April 15th (pay what you can) and continues playing on Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm until May 15th. There will be a 2pm matinee on Sunday, May 2nd. Phone 678-8040 to make reservations.
