Conversation Starter - Barry Corbin, local author of The Girl at the Top of the Tree.
Barry Corbin is a retired educator and part-time professor in the School of Education at Acadia University. He spent 34 years as a teacher, administrator and educational consultant with the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board, Nova Scotia. He is the co-author of two geography and global issues textbooks written for the high school curriculum of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland as well as numerous other curriculum packages and guidebooks. He authored the educational book Unleashing the Potential of the Teenage Brain, a text on the neuroscience of the teenage brain and the implications for teaching and instruction. From 2003 to March 2017 he taught part-time in the School of Education at Acadia University. The Girl at the Top of the Tree is his first work of fiction. Barry lives in Berwick, Nova Scotia with his wife Ann.
