Our community is rallying behind this "Souper Contest" to help support people who are at risk such as those who are working poor, families, youth and seniors.
~For $12, people get to try and vote on their choice of five soups~
What is the Community Soup Kitchen?
The Community Soup Kitchen is a non-profit, volunteer operated community outreach that has operated in Kentville for 30 years. Each week more than 100 meals are provided for people who are hungry or lonely.

TUESDAYS: A full course meal is prepared and served on the second floor of the Kentville Recreation Centre (West side door), 354 Main Street.
THURSDAYS: A full course meal is served at Open Arms Resource Centre (32 Cornwallis St., Kentville)
EVERY DAY: Soups are also prepared and available at Open Arms Resource Centre on a daily basis for people in need.
CHRISTMAS DAY: A large group of guests and volunteers (including Santa) gather for an annual Christmas meal at the Kentville Recreation Centre.
Nutrition & Cooking Classes: Monthly classes are available for all but with a particular focus on single parents and lower income families.
