The Fieldwood Heritage Society is pleased to invite you to a public lecture by Gary Ness on The Dominion Atlantic Railway: Pictures and Stories. Gary is the author of The Dominion Atlantic Railway 1894-1994 as well as books on the Canadian Pacific’s Dominion Atlantic Railway. The DAR was the primary source of transportation locally and, as such, was the life-blood of agriculture, shipping, transportation and community development.
Please join us for this engaging and informative snapshot of DAR history. Parking is available at the church. A free will donation to the Fieldwood Heritage Society, if possible, will be used to support our summer student and other projects. Refreshments will be served.
We also will be launching the 2019 Canning Area Heritage Calendar at the event.
