Join Pennybrook (Jude Pelley & Charlie Wilson), as they explore the mystical and historical aspects of the Christmas season. Taking the listener on a musical journey back in time, they present a programme of sacred songs and melodies from the middle ages through the eighteenth century. Liberally seasoned with lively instrumental dance tunes, the songs move from Latin through middle English and French, to the vernacular English of the broadside ballads and wassailing carols.
