The Tom Regan Memorial Concert, presented by the Acadia Performing Arts Series, features performances by Acadia School of Music faculty, students, alumni and friends. It truly is the annual showcase of the musical talent’s depth and diversity at Acadia.
This year’s program includes performances by the Acadia Brass Ensemble and the Acadia Percussion Ensemble.
In addition to these groups, there will be solo performances by the brilliant vocalists Christianne Rushton, Paula Rockwell and Brenton Raddall, accompanied by Mary Castello and Michael Caines. The program also includes solo instrumental performances by pianist John Hansen and percussionist Alec Block.
The concert will feature the World Premiere of Ken Shorley’s new composition, “Contrast”, a piece in five movements performed by Shorley and Mark Adams, both “Percussion Gurus” at Acadia.
