Celebrating 250 years: From 12:30 to 1:30 St. John’s will be a stop on the Planter’s Conference bus tour where Conference registrants only will be offered lunch by St. John’s ACW. After that, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, St. John’s church and cemetery will be open to the general public. For both Conference registrants and the public, a slide show of historic photos will be on view in the hall, and a guide will be in the church to explain the history behind many aspects of the 200 year old heritage building and items donated over the years. As well, printed material for a self-guided tour of the cemetery will be available and a guide there to answer questions. Entrance – free will offering including lemonade. The Parish History, launched the day before, will also be available for sale at $25.00 plus HST. Tours of Fox Hill and Starr’s Point cemeteries are planned later in the summer and fall in conjunction with events at those sites.
