Our March speaker will be SOREN BONDRUP-NIELSEN, retired Professor of Biology at Acadia. He will speak on “Agriculture in the Annapolis Valley as Experienced on horseback” based on his book, titled MERGING. We will be treated to a delightful journey through the the eastern Annapolis Valley, a day, from dawn till dusk encompassing the four seasons and the fields, woods, hedgerows as well as their animal and human inhabitants.
Soren immigrated to Canada from Denmark with a passion for horses and nature. He attended Guelph University, U of T and University of Alberta, graduating with a PHD in Zoology. Post-graduate research on the social structure of voles, in Oslo led him to Acadia University in 1989. He is the author of five books: Winter on Diamond, Winter Nature, A Sound Like Water Dripping, Merging, and Pukaskwa. Read more at www.bondrup.com
