Saturday July 10, 2010  9am - 5pm (8 Hours)
Theatre / Play

  678-3502

Calling all actors/directors!

Professional actor, Andrew Kasprzak will be teaching an all day workshop on acting at CentreStage Theatre on July 10th, from 9am-5pm. Some of the elements that will be covered include:

- improvisation
- character development
- the spirit of play
- scene creation
- the 'status' of characters
- finding energy in the role

These elements would be developed in a combination of related exercises involving games, memorization, movement, and singing. The work would be focused on acting, but directors would benefit as well, especially from the status and scene creation elements.

Andrew is a very experienced actor and Graduate of Acadia University's Department of Drama. He has participated in and taught a number of workshops, and we are very pleased to have him provide this excellent workshop for us.

The workshop will be July 10th, 9am-5pm, with a break for lunch (not included), and the cost will be $20/person. There are 15 spaces available, and you must reserve your space in advance. Please contact Mindy Vinqvist-Tymchuk ([email protected]) to reserve a spot in what will be an excellent day's learning.
