Join us for a Panel Discussion of Forestry and Climate Change in Nova Scotia, featuring Bob Bancroft, and a screening of "Climate Change and the Human Prospect," a film by Andrea Vandenboer.

Bob Bancroft is a a Wildlife Biologist and activist.
Along with, Blomidon Field Naturalists, NatureNS and Halifax Field Naturalists , Bob has launched legal action for Nova Scotia’s species at risk with the help of lawyer Jamie Simpson.
Additional Speakers include:
~Melissa Labrador, bringing a tradition Mi'kmaq perspective to how we interact with our forests.
~Mary Carol Moran, A unique perspective: Buying tax sale land and planting trees.
~Other speakers not yet confirmed
A screening of the 40-minute documentary film by Centre for Local Prosperity Climate Change and the Human Prospect will screen at 7:30 pm. The film documents the vision created at the Centre for Local Prosperity’s Climate Change & the Human Prospect: A Thinkers’ Retreat held at Thinkers Lodge in Pugwash, Nova Scotia in the fall of 2017. On the 60th Anniversary of the Inaugural Pugwash Conference on Nuclear Disarmament, twenty-four global and regional Thinkers, armed with the conviction that local action is not only possible but the best path forward, gathered to define a path to restore and revitalize local communities in the face of climate change.
