Sponsored by Kings Branch Retired Teachers Organization and Valley Regional Hospital Foundation.
Advance Care Planning is a process of reflection and communication. It is a time for you to reflect on your values and wishes, and to let people know what kind of health and personal care you would want in the future if you were unable to speak for yourself
Alyson Hillier, Vice President of the Retired Teachers Organization, Nova Scotia will present a workshop on Advanced Care Planning for seniors and for those who are looking after loved ones. We all face decisions in the future, whether they are legal or medical. It is best to be well prepared, and this workshop will take participants through the kinds of considerations that should be thought about. It will be a practical workshop, with a workbook to help guide participants.
Allison Hillier’s presentation will be followed by a question and answer session with Marc Comeau, Lawyer with TMC Law. He will provide participants with an understanding of the legal questions that arise from such issues as wills, power of attorney, estate planning and medical decisions.
This workshop is open to the public.
