Second in the series going all summer. This is a Kitchen Party to celebrate the rich musical traditions found in the Maritimes. There are so many!

Terra Spencer's lyric-driven original songs and gentle, hand-stitched instrumentation with fingerstyle guitar and gospel piano draw from the intimate storytelling spirit of Jackson Browne, Judee Sill, and Sufjan Stevens. She is a newcomer to the scene and she is fast finding her place in it and winning hearts with her beautiful songs and spirit.

The Bombadils: Nova Scotian maritimer Luke Fraser and Alberta prairie-girl Sarah Frank create beautiful harmonies and enchanting melodies with old folk songs, poetry, and original songs in a Canadian folk and contemporary bluegrass framework. Luke’s guitar, mandolin, and harmonies are the ideal counterpoint to Sarah’s sweet-yet-powerful vocals, lyrical fiddle and claw-hammer banjo. Innovative arrangements give their songs layer upon layer of sonically satisfying surprises. They have released three albums and toured across North America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the UK.
