This is a Kitchen Party to celebrate the rich musical traditions found in the Maritimes. There are so many!

Shows will start with a revolving house band featuring Kim Barlow and members of the Dearlies, Ida Red, and Acadia faculty Mark Adam and Nic D’Amato. We will play a set of traditional Maritime music reinterpreted, fun singalongs and familiar anthems. The guests will play a set, and then we’ll have a jam session, open to all.

About this Saturday's guest: The uniquely talented Canadian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Minnikin, is a mainstay in the maritime music scene since the late 90’s. With four critically acclaimed albums, Gabriel continues to dazzle with his outstanding musicianship, densely-woven melodies, and titillating lyricism.
His ‘Flower Country’ collaboration was showcased as an Emerging Artist at the ECMA’s, and nominated for the Music Nova Scotia’s Best Country Recording for 2017.
2018 had Gabriel recording his music with Juno award winning Old Man Luedecke, David Myles, & Joel Plaskett, songwriting with Matt Anderson, Gabrielle Papillon, Cameron Nickerson and performing with Rose Cousins, Matt Mays & Grammy Award winning Gordie Sampson.
He is currently recording his fifth album and looks forward to singing for you & yours in 2019!

Zakary Miller is guest-hosting this week. He's a local darling and charming entertainer of the highest level, singing his own brand of Canadiana swing with a guitar and a selection of fine kazoos.
