Gary and Gwen are a Sandy Cove based acoustic duo. They’ve played locally, over the last ten years, as a duo, and occasionally provide backup for other musicians. Long time Sandy Cove seasonal residents,and before retiring here in 2009, they played once in while at Bearlys, in Halifax, both as a duo and with others. Local gigs include the Sunset, Bear River at the Rebekah, Myrtle and Rosie’s, the Sissiboo cafe there and in Annapolis, a few places on the French shore, the Freeport Legion, this summer at Tall Ships and Breaking Waves, and regularly at Lavena’s Catch. They’ve also played four years at the Coalshed Festival in Yarmouth, but unfortunately had to cancel that gig this summer. They play a wide variety of eclectic folk/country music, accompanying their vocals on guitar, accordion and sometimes stand up bass.
