Melanie Priesnitz, Horticulturalist at the Harriet Irving Centre, Acadia University will be our speaker for the evening.
The Newcomers’ Club welcomes all residents of the Annapolis Valley. You don’t have to be a newcomer or a Wolfville resident to come to the meetings or to join the group: long-time residents are also welcome. We provide community lore and wisdom! BRING YOUR FAVOURITE SMALL COFFEE CUP and enjoy fresh perked coffee and a sweet treat.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month in the Wolfville Farmers’ Market Building, and are open to the public. They feature informative speakers on topics of local interest. Members can participate in the many interest groups such as needlework, book club, off-road biking, hiking, snowshoeing, Food &Fun, gourmet dining, bridge and gentle yoga. This is a great place to meet new people, learn about the area, and forge a sense of community.
