Ian co-wrote and recorded music for the critically acclaimed HBO documentary series “The Case Against Adnan Syed” In March of 2017, CMT’s “Nashville” closed it’s ‘mid-season finale’ with Ian's song "Can't Remember Never Loving You” as performed by the show’s two stars, Charles ‘Deacon’ Esten and Connie ‘Rayna” Britton. The song was co-written with veteran Nashville songwriter Byron Hill (George Straight, George Jones, Ray Charles). Between the soundtrack version and Ian’s own version (released January 2018), the song has been streamed over 800,000 times on Spotify alone.
Ian spends a couple of months a year between Nashville and Los Angeles writing music and performing. In September 2018, Ian performed for the first time at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Cafe and in February 2019 at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. Janes will be releasing new music beginning in fall 2019.
