Please join the Valley Women's Business Network for our October networking meeting at Celtic Hall above Paddy's Pub in Kentville.

In this engaging session, Lisa Lowthers will help you understand what a social enterprise is, give some local – and not so local – examples, explain the services that Common Good Solutions offers, and even walk you through a Social Impact Canvas that can help all enterprises “shift to the middle.”

Common Good Solutions is Nova Scotia's first Community Interest Company under the Community Interest Company Act. Its business is built on driving a movement toward a way of doing business that emphasizes stewardship of the environment and fair treatment of stakeholders (from clients to employees).

Lisa Lowthers is from the Valley, a single parent with three adult children – and grandma to two great grandbabies. She has been with Common Good Solutions for three years as a developer and recently became their learning manager. She has invested the last 30 years of her career in helping individuals grow business in Nova Scotia.

Networking starts at 6:30 p.m. with the formal meeting at 7:00 p.m.
