ATTENTION MUSIC LOVERS: Build a Digital Audio Player With Nick Karamanos.
In this presentation, we will learn how to repurpose an older computer to make a powerful and versatile VOLUMIO Digital Audio Player. It is capable of playing music files from local sources as well as streaming from the internet. The music can be of very high quality but quite low cost.
Listen to:
• Internet Radio
• Music from a USB source (i.e. MP3 WMA WAV FLAC files etc)
• Music streamed from your smartphone or tablet
• Music stored on your home network
Listen through:
• Home stereo via AUX input
• Computer speakers
• Headphones
Requirements:
• Desktop or Laptop computer (older or spare unit that can be dedicated to this project)
• USB memory stick (8 GB required)
• Internet access
• Router
• USB sound card (optional)
