There has been a lot of interest in hearing the stories of those who survived the sinking of the S.S. Athenia in 1939. The transatlantic liner, which was bound for Canada on September 3, 1939, was torpedoed and sunk by a German U-Boat hours after Britain declared that they were at war with Germany. Join Heather Watts as she recounts the recent reunion of survivors of the sinking of the Athenia. While the event is free donations are encouraged to help support Randall House Museum.
