Each September the Avon River Arts Society and Avon River Heritage Society play host to Paint Avondale, a spirited open air painting event, which takes place along the historic waterfront in Newport Landing.
A part of our Artisans in Action series, this event is sure to bring many people out to interact with our local artists, while exploring our community.
For the duration of the event the Avon Spirit Shipyard will be converted into a pop-up gallery where participating artists can display and sell their work. A volunteer will be on hand to process sales, with 100% of proceeds going back to the artist.
Artists interested in participating can contact us by email at infoavonriver@gmail.com or telephone (902) 757-1718. The fee to participate is $25 per artist, members of Avon River Arts participate for free!
