In his charming, converted farmhouse in rural France, Bernard is planning a romantic weekend with his chic Parisian mistress while his wife, Jacqueline, is away at her mother’s. He has arranged for a cordon bleu caterer to cook dinner, and has invited his best friend, Robert, along to provide the alibi. It's foolproof; what could possibly go wrong? Well.... suppose Robert turns up not realizing quite why he has been invited. Suppose Robert and Jacqueline are secret lovers, and, consequently, are determined that Jacqueline will NOT leave for the weekend. Suppose the cook has to pretend to be the mistress and the mistress is unable to cook. Suppose everyone's alibi gets confused with everyone else's. An evening of hilarious confusion ensues as Bernard and Robert improvise at breakneck speed in this hilarious web of mistaken identities.
With Ross Chapman as Bernard, Mike Butler as Robert, Linda Levy Fisk as Jacqueline, Jane Kerr as Suzette the cook, Tracy Churchill as Suzanne the mistress, and Alan Tupper as George. Directed by Junie Hutchinson with Karen Court, Dolores Gaudet and Vince Fredericks as backstage crew and tech.
Masks are required.
