Each September the Avon River Arts Society and Avon River Heritage Society play host to Paint Avondale, a spirited open air painting event, which takes place along the historic waterfront in Newport Landing.
It is looking like it may be windy with rain this Sunday during Paint Avondale and the Sofa Sundays performance by Kim Barlow and @heatherkelday, so we will be moving the activity into the shipyard!
Here, we will have lots of seating and an Avondale themed collection of artwork on display. Instead of the BBQ we will have warming dishes like chilli and beans on the menu and will offer hot drinks at the bar in the shipyard.
Halfway River Farm @halfwayriverfarmns will also be in the shipyard with a variety of farm fresh produce. We have given our artists the option to participate rain or shine, some will join us to create inside the shipyard this Sunday, while others will delay and join us for a rain date, next Sunday, during the Mosher family reunion. Either way, be sure to save the date!
