Drum-Making with Brian Knockwood
Sunday October 2, 2022  1pm - 4pm (3 Hours )
Music Workshop / Class Community

This event is part of our Fall Drum Workshop Series!

October is Mi’kmaq History Month, and we have some exciting events lined up. We’d like to respectfully acknowledge that these events take place in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people.

Brian and his assistant will guide you through the process of stretching hide over a frame, and stringing a hand drum. Materials are included, as well as a completed drum stick!

These workshops will have very limited space, so please contact us right away to reserve a spot. We are offering several free places to youth and members of Glooscap and Annapolis Valley First Nations.

This event is made possible with support from Arts Nova Scotia.

Oct. 2nd Drum-making: $250 Drum-making, includes materials and a drum you can keep
Oct. 8 Drum-painting: $200 Drum-painting - bring your own drum, painting materials provided.
OR $400 for both workshops. Please email us at info@musicincommunities.com
