To mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Orange Shirt Day and Nova Scotia Treaty Day, Grand-Pré National Historic Site is inviting you to two visual storytelling workshops with Quentin Little Wolf Syliboy. Quentin is the first Mi’kmaq artist to showcase his work during this time for commemoration.

Quentin is a self-taught Neo-traditional Mi’kmaq artist from Sipekne’katik First Nation in Nova Scotia has who developed his own unique style that combines the traditional art of his Mi’kmaq ancestors with contemporary techniques. His personal quest to rediscover his culture led to the development of his style. Quentin will be on site painting live, answering questions from the public, sharing Mi’kmaq stories and legends and inviting those attending to collaborate in the creation of a unique visual story.

A selection of Quentin`s work will be on display throughout the two days in the site’s art gallery. There will also be select prints available for purchase.
