Stage Prophets, in collaboration with Destination Acadia, is excited to celebrate the return of live theatre with its largest show ever - a massive, stadium-sized production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s much-beloved rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
Originally released in 1972 as a Grammy award-winning and Platinum-selling concept album, Jesus Christ Superstar, and its songs - such as "Superstar", "I Don't Know How to Love Him", Everything’s Alright" - had a transformational impact on music, live theatre, and the movies.
Alongside a cast of over 180 community volunteers and a live rock band, Stage Prophets will mount a rock opera-style production (complete with pyrotechnics).
