Event in Room: Studio (upstairs)

For Everyone

Taking inspiration from the early works of Georgia O’Keeffe as well as Japanese composition principles, we will explore natural objects and abstraction.

In this workshop we’ll create a series of ink drawings, ending with a painting that celebrates nature with bold contrasts of black and white, subtle passages of tonal greys and perhaps a hint of dazzling colour. Discover a meditative, yet dynamic way to observe the simple joys of nature.

MATERIALS PROVIDED FOR YOU:
Ink, small containers, paper for studies, brush, a selection of watercolours or coloured ink, and paper suitable for the final painting.

MATERIALS TO BRING:
Pencil, eraser, ruler
