2:30 - Drum circle and traditional Mi’kmaq songs workshop with Aaron Prosper
3:30 - Climate-Action songwriting workshop led by Braden Lam and Kim Barlow
5:00 - pop-up choir with Freya Milliken and members of the Queer Community Chorus!
6:00 - Sustainable, local, DELICIOUS pizza & salad bar by Jenny & Meagan Osburn - Winners of the Select NS Local Food Heroes, 2013. Vegan & gluten free options.
7:00 - Round-table w Kim Frye of Music Declares Emergency, Braden Lam and Alan Syliboy, on Music, Climate Action and Indigenous Knowledge.
8:00 - Midnight - We'll cap the day off with great music and dancing, featuring Braden Lam, John Muirhead, Heather Kelday, Aaron Prosper, Steel Cut Oats, SuperVillian and Keeper E!
This event is open to all-ages, and is a drug-and-alcohol-free event.
We encourage ride-sharing to the event, and we'll be offering shuttles from outlying areas. Send us a message if you'd like to hop on the Earth Day bus!
