Dr. Beverley Cassidy (of Dalhousie University) will be giving a presentation on Healthy Aging. Everyone is welcome to attend this very informative meeting. Bring a friend!
Dr. Cassidy is a geriatric psychiatrist and assistant professor with Dalhousie University Department of Psychiatry. She received a BSC in neurobiology from Yale University and completed psychiatric and fellowship training at McGill University and University of Toronto. Her clinical and academic interests include the neurobiology of brain health, and treatment of mood, anxiety and cognitive disorders in late life. She coordinates Memory Café NS, a provincial strategy to enhance well-being for persons living with dementia and their families. Her work is collaborative and interdisciplinary with Seniors' Mental Health and geared to affecting change in mental health promotion at
community and provincial levels.
