The Nova Scotia Lyme Disease Advocacy Group is organizing the 1st Annual Walk/ Fly a kite for Lyme Disease Awareness Event.
The assembly and registration area will be at the Gazebo and will begin at 12 noon.

This year we will be remembering and honouring Hailey Kane who died tragically in 2018 from Lyme Disease. The whole family is encouraged to come out and register for the walk and carry a kite. The route is along the trail system and it will begin and end at Waterfront Park. Upon completion of the walk Hailey’s family will fly the first kite and then be joined by all kite flyers. The afternoon is planned to be filled with live music and it will be a great way to spend an afternoon with your family, with your community and you’ll be doing it for a great cause. 500 kites will be available and it is our hope to see all 500 kites in the sky in memory of Hailey so that her spirit will never die.
