Heather Reed (she/her) is a settler hand embroidery artist working in the Annapolis Valley, with a particular love for upcycled materials, medieval needlework techniques, and protest art! Modern embroidery easily incorporates historical, social, and pop culture influences, anything imagined can be stitched! You can find her work at @moon_maid_embroidery
Imriel Bissnette (xe/they) is a queer, non-binary Black and Indigenous primarily fiber artist. Xe relocated to the Annapolis Valley eight years ago and plans to stay here. Their work focuses on queer and gender themes, as well as geeky fandoms (often retro video games and anime). Xe learned embroidery from Heather almost 5 years ago! They can be found at @radicalcatcreations on Instagram.
