This Canada Day, we are choosing to celebrate the beautiful land that sustains us and where we make our home together as well as the diversity of our vendors and market community. We will serve cake made by Jean-Pierre Gallois of Gourmandises Ave, who just became a Canadian citizen, at 10:30 am near the entrance of the Market. We will also be inviting our vendors to bring something of their culture, heritage, identity to share at the Market as a way for all of us to learn a little more about the complexity we are weaving together in Canada on Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral, unceded and unsurrendered land of the Mi’Kmaq people.
