Dennis Jones, Hants County Exhibition Music Committee Chair, hosts this open mic. A professional sound system will be set up along with three voice microphones. Instruments must be able to patch into a multi-channel mixer.
Acceptable instruments include strings (guitars, ukuleles, mandolins, fiddles/violins, etc), keyboards, and small handhelds like harmonicas and recorders. There is room to bring a small amp for bass players. Hand-played percussion instruments like cajóns, djembes and congas are allowed but there is no room for drum kits.
Sign up is IN PERSON at the event for a 15 minute time slot (three songs). No more than three performers on the stage at the same time.
Featured Guest this week is RUTH MANNING. Ruth will play a set from 3:30 to 4:00.
There will be bar services and a 50/50 draw. Proceeds are used by the Royal Canadian Legion for their community programs.
