Come on down for the National Acadian Day tintamarre and celebration! The tintamarre is a tradition that happens in Acadian villages across Acadie. It will be a walking parade with all kinds of instruments. The goal is to make as much noise as possible!
Here is the schedule :
10:00-10:30- French storytelling and 10:30-11:00 English storytelling in the Memorial Church with Clara Dugas ( for those that got the Parks entrance pass that day).
11:00-12:00 - In order to make as much noise as possible for the tintamarre, Bruno Allard and the Djugdjug Ensemble will give a free workshop on how to play djembé underneath the willow trees. Bring your djembé or he will have some available as well!
12:00- 13:00- Free food from the local Molotov cuisine. Acadian musicians from la Baie Sainte-Marie ( Sebastien Dol and Simon Robichaud) will play live.
13:30 at the Memorial Church its the raising of the flag and the start of the tintamarre!
The tintamarre will go all around the Historical site and music will finish off this festive day.
